Lehre / Forschung

An der Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung in Konstanz ist er Professor im Fachbereich Gesundheitsinformatik. Sein Schwerpunkt in Lehre und Forschung ist das Software Engineering; insbesondere agile Softwareentwicklung mit Scrum und Kanban.

Aktuell hält er folgende Veranstaltungen

In seiner aktuellen Forschungsarbeit beschäftigt er sich mit lebenslangem Lernen (Seamless Learning - https://seamless-learning.eu) und untersucht, inwieweit sich Methoden und Praktiken agiler Vorgehensmodelle in der IT für andere Industriezweige eignen.

Transferzentrum Agiles IT-Management

Als langjähriger Leiter des Steinbeis-Zentrum Agiles IT-Management führt er Unternehmen mit deren Entwicklungsabteilungen und derem Produktmanagement in agile Produktentwicklungsprozesse sowie in ein agiles Projektmanagement ein.

Neben der Durchführung von Workshops, Schulungen und Ringvorlesungen zum agilen Projektmanagement und zur agilen Softwareentwicklung mit Scrum, Kanban, SAFe und LESS entwickelt das STZ auch selbst mobile Anwendungen unter iOS und Android (vorzugsweise mit Flutter).
